Care for your health
Care for your health

REGISTER FOR THE NOVEMBER WORKSHOP

We frequently expect healthcare systems to deliver excellence, yet self-healthcare has the distinct advantage of being under our control. The inner environment of tranquility, motivation, and purpose, rather than the external demands of incentives or penalties, drives us to sustain good health. We build a sustainable approach to optimal health by instilling in people a mindset that views self-care as a lifetime responsibility. A caring inner environment promotes good health in the same way that serene, inspiring surroundings do for productivity and joy.

Cellular health refers to the optimal functioning of cells, the fundamental units of life in our body.

Healthy cells perform vital roles, including energy production, repair, and regeneration, helping prevent disease and promoting overall wellness factors such as balanced nutrition, regular exercise, sufficient sleep, and stress management, which contribute to cellular health.

Habits are actions or behaviors we perform regularly, often without consciously thinking about them. They develop over time as we repeat actions in specific contexts, eventually becoming automatic responses.

The cycle of habit formation is often described as the habit loop, which includes three main stages:

  1. Cue – A trigger that starts the behavior, like feeling stressed or seeing a specific time on the clock.

  2. Routine – The behavior itself, such as reaching for a snack or going for a walk.

  3. Reward – The outcome or satisfaction gained from the behavior, reinforcing it and making it more likely to happen again.

Breathing is the process by which we take in oxygen and release carbon dioxide, essential for life and cellular energy production.

There are two main types of breathing:

  1. Diaphragmatic (deep) breathing – Involves using the diaphragm, causing the belly to expand as we inhale deeply. This type of breathing allows more oxygen to enter the body, promotes relaxation, lowers stress, and reduces heart rate.

  2. Chest (shallow) breathing – Involves the upper chest muscles more than the diaphragm. It’s often quick and shallow, which may happen during stress and can increase tension in the body over time.

HEALTH IS AN ATTITUDE.

Health is not just about physical well-being, it's also about attitude. The way we approach our health and prioritize it in our lives is the driving force behind maintaining a good state of health. It's about making the right choices, staying active, eating well, and taking care of our mental and emotional well-being. A positive attitude towards health can also impact our overall quality of life, our energy levels, and our ability to handle any challenges that come our way. It's not just about what we do, but also how we think and feel about it. So, let's strive to maintain a positive attitude towards our health and make it a priority in our lives.
